Where Wyoming keeps the history and culture of the West and the USA

Where Wyoming keeps the history and culture of the West and the USA **Mtg. location Little America
Jun 22, 2022
Dr. Paul Flesher, Director American Heritage Center
Where Wyoming keeps the history and culture of the West and the USA, the meeting location is Little America Hotel and Resort.

The American Heritage Center (AHC) at the University of Wyoming is one of the nation’s ten
largest non-governmental archives. With nearly 100,000 cubic feet of collections, the AHC is a
primary resource for information about Wyoming and the American West, twentieth-century
entertainment (from early radio to Hollywood), railroads and journalism—to say nothing of our
extensive mining resources still used for mineral exploration. Dr. Flesher will talk about some of
the treasures stored in the AHC’s vaults and some of the exciting research being done at the
Center.

LCCC Rotaract Club Attends International Conference
LCCC Rotaract members Matt Millen, Dasha Kaymova and Denny Jackson are shown with President Elect Nominee Lori Garrison, President Anja and Club Treasurer Scott Fox.
Matt, Dasha and Denny gave the club an update on their attendance at the Rotary International Conference in Houston.  They met with other Rotaract clubs from 26 countries to share service project ideas, leadership, how to recruit and retain members and gained insight on partnership options for the 22-23 Rotary year.
Election Integrity by Braver Angels

About 35% of all registered voters believe that the 2020 Presidential election was not fair. 65% of Republicans believe it was not fair. Election integrity continues to be a major, and hotly contested, concern of voters heading into the midterm elections.

The Wyoming/Montana Braver Angels Alliance will be examining alleged threats to the integrity of our elections. We will hear from the perspective of election officials who are charged with ensuring we can trust the fairness of election results. After presentations by Nathan Coyan, Deputy Elections Administrator for the Missoula Montana County Election office, Jackie Gonzales, retiring Albany County Clerk, and Linda Fritz, a recently retired Crook County Clerk, both in Wyoming, attendees will have an opportunity for questions and an open discussion moderated by Brian Martin, Managing Editor of Wyoming Tribune Eagle.
