K9's For Mobility

No photo description available.

April 22, 2026 - The meeting will be held at Little America at 12 noon.

Michelle Woerner is our speaker this week and she will present her organization, K9’s for Mobility.

Founded in March 2012, K9s 4 Mobility, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of others through the training, placement, and support of Assistance Dog Partnerships and service dogs.  The founders of the organization are Bob Jensen, Julie Maloukis, Judy Sifers, Michelle Woerner, and Callie Yeater.

The organization received 501c3 non-profit status in August 2012.  As of August 2025, they have trained and placed sixty-four assistance dogs, enriching the lives of their owners by enhancing their mobility, increasing their independence and confidence, and providing devoted companionship.

K9s 4 Mobility, Inc. is proud to offer training and support to any assistance dog team, regardless of where the dog was obtained.

Each Assistance Dog is specifically selected and trained for an individual, ensuring that the personality, size, and skills needed are right for the partnership to succeed. The placements are made in the individuals' homes and involve one one-on-one attention for 12-14 days.
