Rotary District 5440 Update

Shurie Scheel, Rotary 5440 District Governor

Rotary District Governor Shurie Scheel wants the world to be a better place for her children and grandchildren, so she believes we must all work together. As such, she is involved in a great number of nonprofits, including Rotary. She serves on various boards and with a number of different organizations, but her favorite has always been Rotary! This work for Rotary is among the most fulfilling parts of her life, and she is so proud to be associated with such a great organization!

Shurie will visit with us to give us an update on Rotary District 5440.

The meeting this week and next will be at LCCC, Building CCI Room 130. You can park in lot L, see map below.

Paul Harris Award

Lindi Kirkbride was presented with her PH +2 at our meeting last week. Thank you Lindi for your support of the Rotary Foundation.

Congratulations!

Dr. Rick Davis and his wife Elizabeth received the LCCC Foundation Lifetime Heritage Award this past week. The Lifetime Heritage Award is presented to a person, family or organization in recognition of their support for Laramie County Community College. It also provides an opportunity to acknowledge and recognize all they do for our community. This award is about thanking those who truly inspire people, who see the bigger picture and who recognize the impact of each person doing their part to be involved and engaged in making our community better for the next generation.

New Member Proposals

We have two new member proposals, one a new member, the second is a transfer from another club:

Our new member proposal is Sarah Dawn Compton, the Executive Director for the Wyoming Congressional Medal Council. She is sponsored by Scott Van Horn.

Transferring from the Rotary Club of Roseville, MN is Connie Correia, Financial Institution Relationship Manager - Wyoming. Connie works for Heartland, a Global Payments Company.
