President Anja and Sponsor Scott Van Horn welcome Britney Tennant to the Cheyenne Rotary Club. As a volunteer and advocate for animal welfare for over 20 years, Britney Tennant brings an expertise and passion to her position as the CEO of the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. Britney is a native of Cheyenne and a graduate of the University of Wyoming with degrees in Animal and Veterinary Sciences as well as a masters in Non-Profit Management. Prior to her leadership of the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, Britney founded Black Dog Animal Rescue and built it to become Wyoming’s largest private companion animal welfare organization. Britney is a champion of the “socially conscious sheltering" movement, a contributor to the Humane Society of the United States Animal Sheltering magazine and is regularly called upon to speak to professionals and organizations in the animal welfare community. - Past Chairwoman of Leadership Cheyenne

In addition to her involvement in animal welfare issues, Britney has a passion for public policy and advocacy, fundraising, and volunteering with the Laramie County Democratic Party. Britney is the proud mother of 12-year-old Cameron who enjoys wrestling, Fortnight and cats. Fun Fact: Britney has two sisters with the exact same name!! In her spare, time Britney enjoys reading, running, and has begun exploring woodworking. She readily admits she has trouble saying "no," but she is working on it. Please welcome Britney to the club. |
