The Wyoming Business Alliance

Renny MacKay

Renny has a passion for Wyoming and knowledge that growing businesses is what makes the state and its communities more resilient. He is focused on serving the Alliance’s members and helping to build the strongest network of businesses possible. He’s honored to work for a board which represents Wyoming’s key employers and leading taxpayers.

Prior to joining the talented team at the Wyoming Business Alliance, Renny was Governor Mark Gordon’s Policy Director for nearly 5 years. He also worked for Governor Gordon’s 2008 Congressional campaign. The experience in the Governor’s Office allowed him to strengthen and cultivate relationships with legislators, cabinet members, stakeholders, industries, small businesses, and the Congressional Delegation and their staff.

Renny also has communications and journalism experience working for Governor Matt Mead as Communications Director, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and Wyoming Public Radio.

Welcome our Exchange Students

This August, Cheyenne Rotary will welcome TWO NEW EXCHANGE STUDENTS: Neto from Brazil and Elisa from Italy, who will live and study in Cheyenne through June 2027. Help us show them that the entire club is happy they’re here by contributing two small gifts to the welcome baskets located at the Sergeant-At-Arm's table at our weekly Wednesday meetings. Some ideas: • candy • snacks • coffee gift cards • school supplies • chapstick and hand lotion • lapel pins • invitations and tickets for local events • an English-language book you enjoy • a nice note telling them why Cheyenne is so special!

Miss Wyoming

Rotarian Gabe Pina introduced the newly crowned Miss Wyoming, Alyssa Medina. Alyssa is a Cheyenne East graduate from 2022, graduated from UW this year with a degree in education and will start teaching at Meadowlark Elementry this school year.

Alyssa is raising money to attend the Miss America pagent in West Palm Beach, Florida on September 5th, 2026. If you would like to help Alyssa out with her fundraising, contact Gabe Pina at gpina@pinabiz.com or (307) 369-2708.

Peaches Pickup

Peaches pickup day is August 5.

Rotary Picnic

There will be no regular meeting on August 19. We will enjoy a picnic in the evening on the Hathaway's Restuarant Patio at Little America.
