Next Generation Sector Partnerships

The Next Generation Sector Partnership strategy aims to position regional industry professionals as the leaders in economic growth, with public sector partners such as economic developers, educators, training and workforce development professionals and other community organizations, to address the shared workforce and broader competitiveness needs of their industry. Jeff Schulz, a manager at the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Cheyenne Workforce Center will let us know how these partnerships across the state are working.

Braver Angels Presentation on Voting Methods

Are you curious about how “ranked choice voting” works? Did you know that earlier this year Wyoming’s legislature considered adopting it for primary elections? Or that it is currently considering replacing our “first past the post” method with a runoff method? Would you like to learn about various other popular voting methods, such as score voting, STAR voting, the Borda count method, or approval voting? Then join Braver Angels, the League of Women Voters, and the Wyoming Tribune Eagle on Sunday, October 24, at 2:00 pm for an educational presentation by Matthew Link of the University of Wyoming and Kal Munis of Utah Valley University in Montana, on voting methods and democracy. On November 16, argue for your favorite method at a Braver Angels style debate. Both events are on Zoom.
