ShelterBox is sending a response team to the Caribbean region after a powerful 7.2 magnitude earthquake and aftershocks struck Haiti on Saturday, August 14.

The ShelterBox team will work with fellow humanitarians to assess damage reports, understand from communities what they need, and work on the logistics of delivering aid to areas where buildings have been destroyed. They will partner with Rotary International to forge local connections and make sure the right emergency shelter reaches communities when they need it.

Produce for Veterans
Help the After Hours Rotary Club provide free farm-fresh produce to veterans, their families, and families of deployed active duty service men/women by volunteering an hour of your time. Volunteers are needed Saturdays: August 21, August 28, and September 4. Show up at the Miller Farm stand at the Cheyenne Farmer’s Market, Frontier Park, around 12:45, take down tables and tents, break down boxes, reload the semi, and sort and re-pack vegetables. Stick around if you can to help deliver the produce to the VA medical center, where the vets will come to pick them up. Please let Tom Brantley know which day or days you will be able to help: tombrantley@mac.com.
