Our Rotarian of the Week grew up in Yuma, Colorado, a town of 3,000 in Northeast Colorado. She attended Yuma High School home of the Indians. Her first job was working on her father’s dairy feeding calves in the summer for $20 a day. After high school she attended the University of Denver and medical school at Colorado University. Today, Anne Miller is an opthamologist at Cheyenne Eye Clinic. Anne and her husband of 12 years, Eric, have two sons Luke and Alexander. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and bike riding. Her favorite meal is pasta and seafood in some gourmet creation. Her most memorable Rotary experience is participating in the Rotary Youth Exchange program since it is always so inspiring to see how a year abroad changes the lives of students in a positive way. Other than family her proudest accomplishment is having an extremely fulfilling career helping people improve or preserve their sight. Anne has been a member of our Club since 2002 when she was sponsored by John Bishop. Since that time Anne has chaired our Youth Exchange Committee. She also currently serves on our Board of Directors overseeing Youth Exchange, We Care, the Four Way Test Scholarship and the Christmas Party. In appreciation for her service to our Club, the Sergeant at Arms presented her with a gift certificate and a package of bowtie pasta.
